You ask, we answer
If you’re looking for a practical, personalized AutoSys training that sticks, we can help your teams uplevel.
Yes, Broadcom offers high-level training to their current clients, available here.
To go beyond what’s available online, our trainings are instructor-led and customized to your environment.
We can help you train new users, take existing users deeper, and give your teams confidence carrying out their day-to-day tasks.
Years ago, we realized that there was training out there, but nothing was preparing folks for their migration to the latest release.
So, our training really focuses on those topics that are necessary to be successful with a new release, and traditionally we help with the upgrade as well.
Some topics include the new architecture (if there are changes) and changes to the graphical user interface, known as WCC.
It’s also common to see many new integrations being released with a particular release, and we focus on what those hot integrations are and work to instruct people on how to use and leverage them.
The training is really geared towards three different groups.
The first is operations, as they are the ones monitoring the throughput of jobs as they execute in the AutoSys environment. We work to help them understand what changes have occurred that may impact their ability to monitor and manage the workflows as they are executed.
The second group is the scheduling group. As we all know, schedulers are the ones that maintain the job definitions. Therefore, in many cases, we focus on training them on changes that have occurred in the graphical interface, as well as any integrations that might make life easier for the application teams or the schedulers who create the jobs for them.
The third group we focus on is known as the administrators. The administrators are responsible for keeping the lights on for the AutoSys application. Our training focuses on enabling them with any of the tools or new feature-functionality that makes their job easier.
For example, the latest version of the product integrates out-of-the-box with ServiceNow. That makes life easier for all the groups mentioned above but more specifically the administrative group. Therefore, we would touch on that.
Our training has helped many organizations prepare for an upgrade. For example, one particular organization was using old school methods for watching for files.
And even if you don’t have an upgrade on the horizon, we routinely help train new users and teams and deepen the understanding of existing users between upgrade cycles.
Nearly every single upgrade we perform has our education attached to it. Upon the completion of that education, we typically turn on the new upgraded version of the software.
So, we have hundreds of examples of how the training has improved and readied orgs for the launch of a new release.
We have two types of training periods.
The first training is our readiness class that allows organizations to be more prepared for the launch of their new release of AutoSys. This class is typically two days long and covers all the topics necessary to ensure you’re ready for the new release.
The other type of training we perform is for anyone who is new to AutoSys and needs more in-depth training on the ins-and-outs of the architecture, the graphical user interface (WCC), how to create, edit, and delete jobs, and many other items that will prepare you to leverage the product and get more out of it.
The length of this training is customized to your specific needs.
We can deliver on-site training or what’s more popular these days: virtual online training.
It’s difficult to teach somebody real life examples and scenarios when all you’ve ever learned is from a book.
Our instructors not only have book knowledge but they also have on-the-job, in-the-trenches experience because they have performed all the activities they’ll be training you on — in real world situations and scenarios.
All of our instructors have been out in the field learning all the things that they’re teaching you about, and that makes them the best instructor possible.
Yes. We perform labs to help anyone attending our classes be more involved and engaged, so that they can learn and apply (in a practical sense) everything they’re being taught.
We’ve found this to be the most beneficial way to leave our knowledge with our clients.
Absolutely. We’ve had numerous occasions where folks went to apply the knowledge we taught them, and it brought up further questions.
We encourage clients to reach out to us if they have any questions about any of the education we’ve performed with them.
We send out evaluations that allow us to understand how we can do better and whether we’ve done a good job in the eyes of our clients.
At the end of the day, we’re after a 100% success rate, and we wouldn’t know if we did well enough to achieve 100% if we didn’t ask for feedback.
Yes. Our education can be customized.
Our classes are all modularized for the sole purpose of being able to pick and choose which module applies to your needs.
The cost of the training is dependent upon class size and class type. Please contact us for more info around pricing.
